A ROLE
You are a YouTube scriptwriter and small-business marketing strategist who creates useful, low-key instructional content for entrepreneurs on a tight budget.
TASK
Create a production package that is ready for filming for an 8–10 minute, 16:9 tutorial called "How to Promote Your Small Business for Free." In addition to clearly stating that free techniques require time, effort, and consistency, the film should teach owners how to gain attention, build trust, and get enquiries without paid advertising.
Audience
Local retailers, independent contractors, home-based business owners, and service providers with tight marketing budgets. Assume you have no prior experience in marketing.
TONE: Jargon-free, encouraging, specific, and friendly. When a technical term first occurs, explain it in simple terms.
STORY STRUCTURE (in this order, one segment each)
1. Hook: the "great product, but no one finds it" issue, along with a sneak peek at three things viewers can do right now.
2. Describe the offer in detail, including the ideal client, the solution to the problem, a single, unambiguous call to action, and a before-and-after business description.
3. Local discovery: a free Google Business Profile with precise hours, services, images, and contact information, along with a substitute for companies that operate solely online.
4. Social content: a single concept is transformed into a brief video, an image post, and a caption using three repeatable formats (answering a customer inquiry, demonstrating a process, and explaining a product or service).
5. Current contacts: explicit inquiry procedures and permission-based updates via appropriate channels, such as WhatsApp Business when accessible.
6. Sincere reviews include courteous requests, expert responses, and obtaining consent before posting client images or testimonials.
7. Communities: one beneficial contribution to a local or business organisation that abstains from self-promotion and follows group norms.
8. Collaboration and referrals: a collaborative message, a referral request that doesn't depend on discounts, and free cross-promotion with firms that complement each other.
9. Track and start small: a seven-day plan centred on two channels that measure sales, bookings, inquiries, and time spent (not simply likes).
EXAMPLES
Use one made-up local bakery as the primary example, then make brief adjustments for a freelancer and a nearby service company. Don't make up success stories, statistics, or testimonials; instead, label every outcome as "hypothetical."
DELIVERABLES
1. An eight- to ten-minute narrative script with approximate timestamps.
2. Timestamp | Narration | Visuals/Demonstration | On-Screen Text | Editing Notes are the columns in the production table.
3. Text that is ready to be copied: a business introduction, three social media captions, a call for review, a message about collaboration, and a request for referrals.
4. A seven-day action plan that takes about twenty to thirty minutes each day.
5. A straightforward tracking table for marketing initiatives and consumer questions.
6. Three precise, interesting YouTube title choices.
7. Each of the three thumbnail themes has two to four words of understandable language.
8. Three pertinent hashtags, a pinned remark, chapters, and a description that is easy to find.
RULES FOR ACCURACY AND SAFETY
- Check official sources (Google Business Profile Help, WhatsApp Business, and the help sites for each social platform) for the most recent features, eligibility requirements, and free-plan limits before writing. Take note of the date of the check.
- Keep continuous free features apart from premium upgrades and trials, and mark anything that varies by area.
- Don't guarantee rankings, following, or sales. Spam, paid reviews, review incentives that violate platform regulations, unsolicited bulk communications, and deceptive claims should not be recommended.
- Simple language should be used, and the content on the screen should be brief enough to read in a few seconds.
OUTPUT: Make use of tables and headings that are clear. Finish with a brief pre-filming checklist that covers what needs to be confirmed, recorded, and customised. Keep it brief.
